| no partners | | This one has been on the curiousty list for quite some time as it is a very big canyon that covers a lot of miles through some prime country.
Started a few miles Northeast of the Dye Ranch and meandered, roamed and explored through the area.
I believe any other year this place would hold some pools of perennial water but it was dry this visit but I’m sure these monsoons will slowly bring it back to life.
Definitely an appropriately named place as there were many Alder trees all throughout the area I covered which made for a little different scenery than the paralleling canyons.
The storms and cloud cover did not roll in yet so I made it back to the truck before the afternoon sun became too much for my little pups.
The sand in the pinyon juniper pine area becomes very hot to the point it’s unebearable to hold in ones hand let alone have a dog walk on it.
Nice little loop but would still like to cover a lot more ground in this place, specifically further south. |
