| partners | | Originally we were hauling towards Victorine Crossing with hopes of hitting up Leonard Canyon but came to a quick halt at the temporary closure of the Tinder Fire, with excitement of all the forests reopening I totally forgot they probably still had that area closed to do erosion and deadfall danger which they did.
We instead bounced down to the “Tourst Trap TH”, the FR 95 bridge is the dividing line of the Tinder Fire closure at ECC and all the good stuff and everything downstream is still off limits so we opted to head upstream.
Besides the disgusting amount of trash at the start it seems not many venture more than a half mile because after that this place actually became rather idyllic.
I’m not sure why or how I’ve overlooked this place all of this time but I definitely think an easy overnighter downstream after the Tinder closure will be on the agenda. |
