| partners | | After a night of solid luxury car camping we awoke to some awesome early morning low hanging fog after a night of steady sprinkling.
We made the drive to a spot I’ve had my eyes on for quite some time and proceeded to yet again just dive down a thousand feet into a remote stretch of prime canyon country.
As before Barbershop just blows my mind!
These overlooked Mogollon Rim Canyons are such gems, often dry at any “real trail crossings” they don’t look like much but if you just give it time and proceed deeper around another canyon curve or fourteen you’d be surprised at what you may find.
The overnight rains made all of the pools a little more silty than their usual crystal clear presence be we managed to find one of the biggest and most scenic pools to be the clearest so it was where we setup and took some photos at.
The adventure pups perhaps enjoyed themselves more than we did eating and sleeping on the abundance of rich and lush green vegetation in the canyon bottom.
The climb out is hump and half but I love me a good canyon climb near the end of the great day.
Afterwards we witnessed a very epic sunset at the edge of the rim and made it back to camp to one of the gnarliest lightning and thunderstorms but with the most minimal amount of rain :-/ lol.
