| no partners | | I had hoped to loop in the Smith Ravine trail on this hike but I wore shorts and the bushwhack to the peak took its toll on my bare legs. Once I reached the summit and took a look across at the next bushwhack ahead of me, I decided I'd had enough for the day. I'll come back when it's cooler and I will dress appropriately to do battle up top.
Cudos to @Peter_Medal for a nice track. As long as I stayed on his track, I was good. When I strayed, I had to backtrack. On the way down, I took a chance and followed the motorcycle track wherever it may take me. I remember crossing it a couple of times, so I was confident it would lead me close to where I needed to be. It did.
The weather was absolutely perfect on this day. Had a great time, even if it was a shorter hike than I had hoped for. |
