There weren't many people on the trail yesterday -- 2 hikers passed me just before getting up to the Ridgeline, and on the way back from 5057 I met a couple hikers who were hiking the Ridgeline from Siphon Draw to Carney Springs.
Someone has taken chalk to mark the route in a number of places. I don't mind cairns, but I'm not a big fan of using chalk to mark a trail route...but at least they didn't use paint, as rain will eventually wipe the chalk away.
It looks like the riffraff has moved from Flatiron to 5057. At the top of Peak 5057, there were pistachio shells scattered on the ground and some moron had put probably 3-4 pounds of safflower seeds in a pile on a rock at the summit. |
