| partners | | First car in the Hieroglyphics lot, just before daylight.
The water was flowing good at the Glymphs site.
We ultimately took the well cairned/used route, up past the Balanced Rock. This is a steady climb to the top. We saw a good sized ram just before the toughest part of the climb. I'd definitely take this route to 5057 again. Good views and a tad challenging.
We saw our first hikers on top of 5057. Views to the North and east to the Mazzies and Supes, showed off the previous days snowfall.
Next stop was to visit the sisters for lunch. From our lunch spot you could hear the voices of the visitors to the wave cave below.
Down the West Bolder Saddle Trail, my least favorite trail in the Supes, was slippery from the previous days rain/snow.
Some would find the Lost Goldmine Trail a bit boring, but it's a great trail to take in the views, without having to constantly look at your feet.
Great temps and water everywhere on this loop. |
