At the start of 2018 I made one New Year's Resolution: hike Thompson Peak sometime during the year

Not that I am a procrastinator, but I decided today that it was about time to fulfill my resolution, so off to Thompson's Peak I went

I don't really enjoy this hike, but I like to do it once a year...with the cooler than normal temperatures, it turned out to be a good day for the hike -- in fact it was spitting snow up on top of the Peak

On the way back we stopped off at the Dixie Mine to check out the mine and the nearby petroglyphs

Civilization is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there
