| no partners | | This is a fun hike. I wanted to hike the Three Lesser Peaks in an east to west direction so from the TH parking we headed up Blue Ridge, dropped into a wash, picked up a horse trail that took us to the Green Thumb trail, which we took to 1356. The plan originally was to walk 1356 to Weeks Wash and make the climb up 3047 from the east out of the wash but after seeing what looked like a good route up to the 3047/3089 saddle we just jumped over 1356 and made our assault. The route we picked up to the saddle worked out fantastic. Once at the saddle we climbed up and then back down 3047, then hit 3089, and finally made the dip down and back up 3134. After signing the register on 3134 we made our way down the use trail to the Dome/3134 "T" and made our way back to the truck trying to locate the Elliptical Arch along the way with no luck, so will need to return to the area for a more dedicated search.
Only saw one other hiker as we were walking the ATV trail down to Bulldog Canyon Wash. As we got closer to the parking the motorized vehicle activity picked up. The weather was perfect. |
