Parked at Lost Dutchman State Park , hiked over to Crosscut Trailhead and on to Massacre Falls. Despite all the rain the “pond” next to the fence crossing at the old trailhead was not filled. The falls were the best I’ve seen this year but only 75% of the largest flow I’ve seen there since I began hiking up here in 2004. There is a decent size pool below the falls now. Cold and windy at the high point made for a brief stop then headed toward Praying Hands. Decided to detour up the nameless canyon I used for the reverse flat iron a week ago to check the water flow. It was definitely increased, could hear some of the water flow. Traveled down to the Crosscut Trail and made my way back to the park.
