| no partners | | Little walk to an area I’ve gone too many many times before but never in this exact spot because there was some new discoveries made.
Still a foot of snow of ground in the shade and canyons around the 5000’ level but for the most part any exposed ground is free of snow which is filling up every crack, crevice and drainage with heaping amounts of flowing water.
I always knew there had to be remnants of the ancients on this particular mesa and I finally came across hundreds of pottery sherds on a flat outcrop area with great views of the Mogollon Rim.
Payton my best buddy came across the find of the day and continues to amaze me with how good she is at sniffing out animals, I reward the behavior with any success which has turned her into quite the bone hunting expert.

Never know when a ordinary hike turns into a extraordinary one!
(Cheesiness level 100, but it’s true!) |
