Route Scout Route Recorded  on Route Scout | Pop | Map | Popup | MapDEX
Our plan was to camp at Reevis Ranch coming out Of Woodbury. The road up was drivable unlike the weekend before. One person had an Outback. The route was snow covered and muddy but the canyon was fully flowing. Our boots were soaked pretty quickly but not cold. Many many river crossings from all the snow and runoff. Felt pretty lucky to experience something so rare. Waterfalls everywhere. Got to the saddle and a squall hit. Past the saddle was impassable tho we heard a group did wade their way there but another hiker coming out said he camped on snow and there wasn’t a dry spot to pitch. We headed down toward the ranch but the trail became a river the whole way and there was snow everywhere else. We didn’t think we’d find a dry spot so put on our rain gear and turned around and hiked back almost to the Rogers canyon junction and found some nice spots by the creek. By then the sun had come out and was beautiful. Dropped to 35 at night.
