| partners | | This remote and somewhat "off the radar" White Canyon Wilderness hike stays completely within the extremely scenic W/C Wilderness boundary. Our HAZ-ssk44(Eric) originally posted and hiked this completely off-trail, rugged 6.5 mile roundtrip (~2k' AEG) hike in Dec'10.
Oregon_Hiker(Larry) and myself were looking for another interesting semi local off-trail day hiking area having a need to reschedule our previouly planned one week March'19 camping/hike exploration trip at a higher elevation area due to concerns over wetness/mud, possible snow, and me not wanting to deal with vehicle camping in a tent with nights/early morning in the mid to low 30F temperatures. So, this "The Rincon -White Canyon Wilderness" hike would hopefully help fill in the time gap for a full day outing with deserved Mexican food planned after [ image ] 
The W/C Wild never disapoints and neither did our hike choice today. My hike photoset with detailed captions, tag notes, and geocoded to my posted, recommended, and edited for correctness Gps hiking route with "key" waypoints included, shows and hopefully confirms our good choice which I highly recommend for those who enjoy this type of off-trail, remote hiking and who also have a capable 4WD vehicle means of safely driving out and back to this Parking/TH Start. |
