Today I joined a neighbor, Carl, and two spin class buddies Teresa and Mike to share a ride up to Prescott. There was so much damage to the trailhead area from the heavy equipment that has been thinning the trees that we could not find the trailhead to take the hike counter clockwise like we wanted to. Many many downed trees across the trail. That said, it's a nice hike with lots of shade. We went up in the fire tower, which I always find interesting not only for the view but for a short review from the attendant on how they use their non tech equipment to triangulate the fire/smoke location.
