I was looking for a high elevation hike to do today, and I figured that I couldn't get any higher than this one in AZ

I was able to avoid using microspikes this time, although the trail was snowy in spots from about 10,800 feet up to Agassiz Saddle.

There were several people coming up the trail as I was descending -- more people than I would have thought on a Wednesday afternoon

As I began the hike, I saw 11 deer in the meadow that is not far from the TH

Civilization is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live there
