| partners | | This is an easy hike down a canyon, with only a little shimmying down a pour-off, until you get to the last one, which probably would require a rope. That's where we turned around. I enjoy the Newberry Mountains because of all the white granite, which is nice to walk on, plus is beautiful. Lots of rock art, plus a couple of inscriptions from 1907 and 1898.
People who like scrambling around on rocks would like this area. You can really see a lot more if you want to do some serious scrambling.
Hiko Springs itself is right by where you park the vehicle. It's in very thick brush, and we didn't try to get in there to see if there was any water. There are a couple of cottonwood trees to mark the spot. So, I have no idea if it's running or not. |
