Here's another hike we did on the Green River paddling trip. (Ruby Ranch to Spanish Bottom, two weeks, 100 miles.) This hike already has a link to it here on HAZ. There are a couple of major things here. One is this quite imposing ancient Native American tower. The other is an old log cabin. Also, the views from this point are nothing short of spectacular. I absolutely loved this river trip, and hope to do it again. So much to see. Lots of hiking along the way.
It's accessible by vehicle, via a pretty long Jeep road, which I know nothing about. In fact, the only time I have ever entered Canyonlands National Park was by kayak. There is a Jeep road alongside the Green River part of the way. I'm sure there's plenty of information out there about the Jeep road. |
