| no partners | | After two days of the worst migraine I’ve had in more than ten years, I finally decided to head out for a hike this morning. Still feeling blah, I figured the hike would go one of two ways:
1–most likely, an uneventful loop and I’d go home and take a nap afterward
Or
2–I’d give up somewhere along the way and call for assistance, hopefully scoring a rescuers phone number in the process
Seemed like a win-win, so I headed out around 8:00. Not many cars in the parking lot as I started out and headed up the Ruins trail. Kind of dizzy at times, more than I thought I’d be, so it was kind of exciting for a while. I wondered how many feet down a fall would be from the trail into the drainage below, and decided my Inreach Mini would survive that distance, so I continued heading up. Lungs & legs felt great after two days of rest, so I made good time.
Once at National, I headed east. Went almost to the top of Goat Hill, then continued east to Pyramid and down. Felt kind of warm out today. I still want it to be even cooler. Either way, a nice hike this morning. |
