Met Jim at Geronimo TH at 0900 and headed up Geronimo. Nice and cool to start, with a pleasant breeze, and the morning shade was nice too. Saw one ranger on Geronimo. At the top, we headed down Corona. Hazier on the south side of SoMo than the north side. At the bottom of Corona, we followed Secret trail east to the start of Corona East and took that up. Saw one small speckled rattler curled up on the side of the trail. I stepped a little close to it before seeing it move its head. It seemed to be content to stay curled up in the shade, so we detoured around it. At the top, headed west a short distance on National before descending back down Geronimo. Nice hike, with good aeg for the mileage. Only saw maybe 5-6 people all day.
