Tried Shaughnessey connector again. This time took the next ridge east of where my guide took us the last time. The ridge was steep and rocky. I made it about halfway up the ridge and after falling on my butt a couple times I headed for the wash where the footing was better. I reached the top- after repeating to myself that line over and over, 🎼 if ever get outta here!!- about 200 yards east of where the proposed trial is to meet Bursera. I walked the ridge line west and found a game trail heading down behind the houses. It became slippery again so I found another wash to head down in for better footing. Can’t call me sure foot!!!😆 I came out the same place behind the subdivision as before. Great hike but I sure missed having a guide!! It’s the first time in a long time that my legs ached coming down the hill!!🙁
