Kids and I were driving from Point A to B and needed something in between to break up the podcast binge, this did the trick. We tackled Lyke's Lookout right away in an attempt to warm up - was darn cold in that little river valley at 9am. After the little heart pumper (my kids were wandering way too close to that cliff edge) we headed back down and made a weird loop involving Lion and Mesquite and Palm Lake and Willow. Kids played with the water, rotated out "leader" position, found some ducks, watched a train, and we even practiced some tree identification along the way. This is a nice park, especially with all the trees and winter-lush grass, just wish it wasn't so close to the noisy highway.
