Familiar, easy-to-reach loop for Easter hiking with kids. Up Little Saddle, with a few pauses to admire the wooded sections and babbling brook, continue past Sunflower junction until it rejoined the creek, then follow the creek downstream to the Sunflower crossing. Creek was overgrown, as could be expected, and I had to coach/bribe/threaten them at times to continue on. Still don't understand what's so scary about a little catclaw. Scars build character. Anyways, easy hike up Sunflower to FR 393. Flowers were pretty, things were green, clouds were lovely, trail is great, etc. Saw a two 2-person groups on AZT, one ORV on 393, and a ton of people camping on Old Beeline, otherwise a successfully social distant outing.
