| partners | | I was looking for some easy miles. After last year's marathon run I was looking forward to a little more leisurely paced loop. The extra 11 minutes for the loop was more relaxing. Definitely recommend.
All the washes ran this week, but there was only a little existing flow in the canyon, and one very unexpected pool in the flats that Lily got to cool off in.
Poppies were minimal in the usual spots. But there was tons of brittlebush on the hillsides and a a plethora of lupine. The highlight area was both sides of the last pass about 3-4 miles from the end with both lupine and poppies together. Big poofy clouds teased around, but never gave us a break, and despite being a very pleasant 70-degree day, there were a couple of times it was a touch warm. Saw 4 or 6 deer, they were elusive, so not sure if a pair doubled up on us.
Coronavirus panic status update: There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. |

Wildflowers Observation Moderate Brittlebush, poppies, lupine, globemallow, fiddleneck, and some lavender colored thing that looks like globemallow that somebody else will identify. |
