I really needed to get out of town and just decided to head up on the rim. I started at the horse trap trailhead which is right on the side of Hwy 260. I hiked along the Willow Springs bike loop for a little while, then I dropped down to the lake and hiked back along the shore. Weather was great, the bike loop is mostly an old road. Lake was very nice, a few people out on their boats. On the way I wanted to check out Sardine point and walk down to the lake from there. Turns out that area was very busy. Lots of people fishing it seemed. I decided it was to busy for me and headed home.
