| no partners | | Not sure which "mount Ord" description to use, but this seems the closest to what I did. I drove up FR 626 to the gate, parked and then hiked up to the tower. The road was in decent condition. I turned off of 87 at about 8 am. I passed no one on the way up. A van was camping at a pull out. No one parked up top. I saw 2 deer. when I finished my hike there was 2 pick up trucks just arriving. They had the gate code and drove in, looked like they were up there to do some work. I also saw one other hiker on his way up right about then too, he looked like he came from slate creek trailhead. Passed no one again on the way down until I was almost to the pavement and there was another pick up truck headed up. I wish I had explored FR 1688, maybe next time. Weather was great up the hill.
