| no partners | | | It was one of those hikes where I was just headed to the dreamy draw trailhead and figure it out once I got there. I mostly have only biked trail 100 in this area and a few months back I went on one of these no plan hikes in the area and it turned out great so I was trying it again. this time I headed out on T100 up to the first saddle, that's all I had planned. Then I saw 1A headed up the hill so I went that way. I soon found Irregular Link and thought that sounds cool. Then I was met with a tough decision, take what looked like 1A up again or take 302 down that way, I chose 302. At another intersection I figured out that 302 was the trail that goes around Piestewa and decided I didn't want an uber ride so I took 1A down and back around by the freeway. I also saw one of those stone building/ramada like they have all over South Mountain, but this one seemed to have no access trail. Turned out to be an excellent loop, I enjoyed it. I also now have some other ideas on variations of this loop for the future. |
