| no partners | | I hiked this trail yesterday with my parents and my dog. It was our first time on this trail and my first time using route scout. We hiked to the 2.9 mile mark where the gigantic juniper was, marvelled at it for a bit, then headed back the way we came. There were some wildflowers and there are more to come. The weather was beautiful and the trees smelled amazing. The oaks were pretty with their fresh green. It looks like they are doing a little tree clearing in some areas. There was lots of shade and when there wasn't, you got great views. It was not strenuous, but the ups and downs gave a bit of a workout. I'll go back again and do more of the trail another day. |
