From a 7 night/8 day Mogollon Rim vehicle camping trip, R&R get away at 7435 feet, first hike day and number three of three short area hikes to check-out some local Perennial Springs.

At Perennial "Aspen Spring", this hike connects with Houston Brothers Trail #171 and continues up trail for ~1 mile to the recommended "off-trail" waypoint location (see my posted Gps Route) across Houston Draw for the short access to Perennial "McFarland Spring" and recommended Backpack Campsite area.

A very pleasant and scenic out and back short dayhike with history too!
