I hadn’t removed the artwork Brittany left on my car, ooops. lol. Was planning on a larger loop, but I found a path that looked good and decided to let my curiosity take over. Spontaneity is fun. Plus, I felt like the further away I was from the masses, the better. Anyway, the descent into the canyon wasn’t too bad minus a bit of scree. There were some beautiful serene cascades along the way. Soon after I arrived at a gorgeous swim hole, but hadn’t brought a dry bag so I found a steep bypass. Continued on down the canyon and there was an amazing narrows section with a large log jammed up towards the top. There were some fun waterfalls and another large pool perfect for floating. The best part was I saw no one, even though there were probably 50 people just 5 miles away! The canyon exit was pretty straightforward. Along the way I stopped at some other pools I had pinned, but they were all too dry for this time of year. Would be nice to see them flowing nicely though. Took a wider approach to get back to my car to avoid the large rotting cow... overall, a fun solo adventure and a place I’ll definitely return to explore more, with friends! |
