| partners | | | We had originally intended to head to clear creek for a paddle for the day, but we got a later start than intended then had a dead battery, so we’ll be saving that for another day. Thank you to the family down the road for helping us get started. We headed out for the main entrance to Chevelon lake with hopes of it not being as busy on a Sunday. James carried his two person inflatable kayak down the steep hill and I carried the backpack with our stuff. It wasn’t too busy down there which was nice! However, he was missing a piece to the kayak so that plan didn’t happen. It weighs 80 pounds, so we were very appreciative to the people who offered to bring it back up on their trailer. We relaxed by the lake in the shade for a bit and watched some dogs playing in the water. Then we explored around the corner past the dam and found a nice big pool with no one there! We swam and cooled off for a bit before heading back up the hill. |
