Plan A was Aravaipa on 12/29, but the forecast was daunting so we chose this for plan B. I had forgotten how great the second half of this hike is (if you go counter-clockwise). After 4+ miles of exposure, the shade from the trees and canyon were welcome. The leaves were still changing and there was flowing water in Arnett Canyon. The trail maintenance on that last half is also impressive (special thanks to Wild Arizona for helping manage invasive plant growth.

John and I enjoyed a quick beer back at the truck and then met up with Preston again at Porter's Café in Superior for a great burger. What better way to end a long hike with best friends??
