Pass Mountain loop from Meridian TH, adding peak 3004 loop and tacking on an up-and-down to the Wind Cave. With an early start, we managed to hike much of the trail on the west-face shade of the morning. Add to that a gentle breeze, and the hike was quite pleasant for late August.

Quite a few folks on the Wind Cave Trail, but fairly light on the loop. For the first time in several hikes, didn’t cross paths with any snakes.
