Last week we talked about this hike, then things worked out the night before so we were on. First time in the Tortolitas for both of us. Nice trails, good scenery, great weather. No complaints.
We didn't see anybody the first 3/4 of the hike then more and more people as we approached the trailhead as expected. Hiked through a few miles of burn. Not too depressing. Seems like it will recover in a few years. Saw just a few wildflowers.
