I had hiked Wasson twice before, but not for almost 10 years. Remembered some of it.
We got started before sunrise. A little chilly out. Had enough layers to stay warm. The Hugh Norris trail is very scenic and well built. Highly recommended. The trek up to the summit is a really nice one. Steady gain. Very few places were exceedingly steep. We ran into a little snow near the summit which surprised us.
We made the loop around and back to Hugh Norris after enjoying the summit views. Lots of snow on the Catalinas. Checked out the old stone outhouse and the big mine along the way.
Beautiful day. Only saw one person the first half of the hike. Had the summit to ourselves. Thanks for joining me Kelly. Good times. :)
