Took a break at Florida Saddle then continued south on the Crest Trail, which was in good shape. Another break at Baldy Saddle, then up to the Wrightson Summit. Nobody else was up there, and it wasn’t too windy, so we took a break before heading back down. The elevation gain was surprisingly easy today, I guess the extra miles on the treadmill this year have been worth the time and effort. My knees were not enjoying coming back down Florida Canyon though. Very dry in the Santa Ritas. Great weather today, not many other people out on the trails, and good to see Matt again. |
