Started from the Big Bug TH and headed south to where I left off last time from a month ago. Scenery was the same as the rest of what I done north of Big Bug, rolling hills, pinyon pines, and distant views of the surrounding mountains. Most of this was singletrack, there was one section of dirt road that it followed for about a half mile. Saw some deer uphill from me running through the brush. Got one picture of 2 sets of ears, but it was in focus.
Finished up fairly quickly, this section was very level with only very gradual grades. Felt a little warm, but nothing like back in Phoenix now. Traffic on I-17 is getting busier with the warmer weather and things mostly back to normal now. Only have the Copper Mountain loop to finish now, might have to wait until the fall since that one looks to be a solid 14 miles. |
