| no partners | | I hiked from Jenny Lake past Hidden Falls and up to Inspiration Point then on through Cascade Canyon to Lake Solitude. One of the most scenic and enjoyable hikes I have ever hiked. Waterfalls, the cascades that give this canyon its name. I would have liked to continue up to Paintbrush Divide to Holly Lake and loop back to Jenny lake, but I did not have good maps. So I did an out and back. Lots of people take the boat across Jenny Lake then hike to Inspiration Point. One of the most popular hikes in GTNP. Most don't continue past Inspiration Point, but there were still a lot of hikers on the trail. Think West Fork of Oak Creek for crowds. The Exum Mountain Guides were conducting a qualifying school for climbers preparing to scale Grand Teton. Looks like fun. I wasn't sure about saying perennial waterfalls and streams because everything freezes in the winter. It will hit -50°
