| no partners | | I have been wanting to do this hike for a while, so I included it as part of a hiking road trip to Utah and Colorado.
This hike was much more difficult for me than the distance and elevation gain would suggest -- much of the hike was on terrible tread: you were mostly on talus, scree, and what I would describe as hiking through a rock slide. Virtually every step was on rocks that would wobble with almost every step.
The views were great though. There were quite a few yellow aspen leaves, although I'd say they were a week away from being at their peak.
The views and aspen leaves saved the day, but I doubt if I will do this hike again. |
