The drive in to the TH was a bumpy one, and I was glad to have some good tires and a vehicle with a good suspension.
This a straightforward hike in a fairly drab desert -- other than some Joshua trees, most vegetation was not even knee high.
There were some interesting views at the summit: looking north was a vast, desolate wilderness; and to the south was the Las Vegas sprawl.
I usually don't see anyone on these type of hikes, but I saw 4 people on the trail.
This hike won't make my top 10 list, but I am glad that I did it, and if I lived in Vegas I imagine that I would do this hike every now and then. |
