Lollygagging along the west and admiring the immaculate trail I was hallucinating this was a phenomenal hike. Then realized I might need to capitalize westside morning shade more often! Back to reality moments later with scattered deflated barrel cacti.

A former twenty-foot use-trail has become the new trail because it was the path of least resistance. They put three large rocks in the former trench trail.
Eight hikers spread out around the loop, minus the Summit Trail. Towards the end, two aggressive mountain bikers surprised me but I jumped in the nick of time. Finished @ 9:22. Gnats were only light in the last mile. Plenty of familiar hellos beginning and ending. |
