Finally checked this one off my wishlist today! It’s been on there for awhile and when I saw the nice overcast skies I knew today was the day.

Headed up to Black Cross Butte to take the mesa across and check out the cave and get a view of the river from above. Dropped down into the canyon using Andy’s route. Decent little loop! Holy moly catclaw once you get closer to the canyon bottom. We went a little ways down canyon once we dropped into the canyon and then headed back up canyon. Lots of little pools along the bottom which was nice. Overall such a great day and can’t wait to come back out here to play around on the mesas more.
