The last time I hiked Crucifix Canyon it was dry, so much more picturesque to see all the water in the Canyon. We had a group of 8 hikers who took part in the hike. Ron wanted to know the overland route to Two Arches, so we went back up the road we came in on and took the trail there to Two Arches before dropping into the canyon. It was 1.6 miles to the canyon floor, where we continued to the lake. Coming back, at that point was only 1.1 miles to where we stared, so you could save 1/2 a mile by not going the overland route to Two Arches, but I like the nice change of being out of the canyon. Great, fun hike!!
