Another Memorial weekend spent in the Blue Range and surrounding area. It was just me Blanco and Dot. It was really nice to get the old man out to the place where him and I have had so many good memories. He really enjoyed himself, almost too much in fact, I had to tie him up at camp a few times because he was chasing so many squirrels. I was worried he would not be able to get up the next day.

The good winter and spring rain did the area well. As green as I have ever seen it this time of year and a good amount of water where it’s usually dry by now. However, most of the trails at the higher elevations were trashed and in need of some winter deadfall removal.
