| no partners | | | This little hike was one of my more fulfilling destinations and hikes since I made my first trip to the Bitterroots five years ago. We camped at the Magruder Crossing Campground the night before the hike and really enjoyed the level of wilderness and solitude the area provides. We spent two days driving the primitive road and exploring some places I did not make it to last year. This hike was our turn around point and main objective of this summer's exploration of the Magruder Corridor, but I am already excited about the possibilities for next summer. We approached the trailhead from Darby Montana and I include some more specific details to the hike in a newly written [ Salmon Mountain Lookout Trail #705 ] description. |
