Clouds this morning lured me away from the treadmill. Two other vehicles in the lot when I arrived. Got started at 0800 and headed up Lost Mine. No breeze, as usual. Looks like some recent trail work, which mostly consisted of breaking some bigger rocks and spreading more loose rock all over the trail. Actual improvement? None. Passed one runner near the top of Lost Mine, carrying no water, but declined the offer of my spare bottle. Only person I saw today.

West on National, which had a slight breeze. Down Ruins, which is now officially just Lost Ranch. Fully signed now. More signs of recent trail work, none of which was useful. A few toppled barrel cactus across the trail, which should pose no obstacle to anyone over four feet tall. No breeze on Ruins until I reached the bottom. Quick walk back to the trailhead. Three other vehicles in the lot when I finished.
