Close to 7 hours of driving for 4 hours of hiking - it’s worth it. The messed up forest roads aren’t ideal trails but the sweet granite peaks take the edge off. Saw three elk; two directly on the trail early on, then a buck near the NE saddle of Hualapai Peak

The scramble from the NNW isn’t too bad. Reminds me of East End Peak, only steeper. With that said, I didn’t walk the ledge for the true highpoint - the boulder containing the benchmark is cool with me.

East Potato is the highlight for sure - plenty of cool, granite outcrops and it’s shaded in the afternoon. Overall, smooth sailing car to car. Would hike again.
