Tourist hike with out of town friends. Can you ever go wrong with Las Lomitas!?

Apparently it was a National thruhike trek day but we were late enough to avoid that cf and had the mountain mostly to ourselves. The event somehow provided the unicorn of two rangers and 3 SAR members actually hiking on a trail. They were exploring one of the old mines as we passed and were later refreshingly amused by our photoshoot with some local flora, and decided to take part themselves. They're human afterall!
