| no partners | | After hiking Dome Mt, I had enough energy to do one last hike on the 3rd and final day of my trip. Thanks to Dean Gaudet for publishing a good route. I basically followed this route and was impressed by the many cairns that were out there. Thanks to those who took the time to put the cairns out there. It was really an enjoyable hike!
Along the hike I saw regular cholla, teddy bear cholla, sahuaros, ocotillo, mormon tea, hedgehog cactus, brittlebush, creosote, palo verde, longleaf indian paintbrush, exserted indian paintbrush (pink), lanceleaf liveforever, etc.
From the top, there were views of nearly everything - Weaver's needle, the Superstitions, the Salt river, the Four peaks, etc.
All in all, this was a great hike and I would do it again. The worst part of the hike was crossing the busy Highway 88 and the noise pollution. The parking spot is on a blind corner in both directions but the speed limit is marked at 25 MPH, not that anyone goes that slow, though.
