When I’m out on the trails and I pass someone and they say “have a nice walk”, I feel annoyed. I’m out in the desert, on a trail….that is hiking, not walking. But it seems wrong to say “hiking” the canals. It’s walking. I’m not sure where the line is crossed in my mind, but apparently the canals have crossed it. Still a pleasant walk. I was really captivated by Arizona Falls. Probably the only “destination” spot I’ve seen on this trail. Pretty neat place to visit. Kind of cool to walk but Camelback Mountain. I got to see it for both ends. The usual good mixture of users: 28 runners, 27 bikers and 24 walkers. |
