After some Kayaking and some lunch we carefully scanned the darkening skies and decided to give the lake loop a try. Most of the weather was to the north and west of us. This is a short but pretty hike.

Going CW, the south and west portions of this trail are my favorites.

With a mile to go, we started getting a light rain, which got a bit harder. We still had a good time.

We had heavy rain and hail for quite awhile on the way home. Should have been enough to put out the West Fire.
