It had been 4 years since I hiked on the Rim Lake Vista Trail, so I decided to head up there today.

We started at the 260 TH, and we did a CW lasso loop hike. We took the Military Sinkhole Trail up to the Rim, and then went left on the Rim Lake Vista Trail. We stopped at a few of the scenic vistas on the trail, and then made our way off-trail to the Woods Canyon Lake Trail. Once there, we went around the north side of Woods Canyon Lake, and stopped at a nice spot for lunch.

We continued going around Woods Canyon Lake, and then dropped down into Woods Canyon. Woods Canyon was very nice -- it was very green and there was some water in places, but not enough to get our feet wet. We continued through the canyon and then made our way back to the Military Sinkhole Trail.

This was a very nice hike -- the weather was super, there are some nice views along the Rim Lake Vista Trail, and there were hardly any other people on the north side of Woods Canyon Lake. This was my first time in Woods Canyon, and I enjoyed that part of the hike. I imagine that I will repeat this hike again sometime.
